There are 9 Central universities in India at present which has been established in different states of the country. The Central Universities of Haryana, Jammu, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kashmir, Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu (called Participating Universities) were established by an act of Parliament in the year 2009. They will organize the combined Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2016 for admission to its various programmes. The various programmes for which the entrance test will be conducted are as follows:

• UG and Integrated Programmes (52 Courses)
• PG, B.Ed and PG Diploma Programmes (177 Courses)
• M.Phil and / or Ph.D Research Programmes (92 Courses)

The CUCET 2016 will be conducted on 21^st and 22^nd May at different examination centres across the country. The students of various states can apply for admission to above mentioned courses and programmes available at the PU’s. The reservation of seats will be as per the Participating Universities norms.

Central University Admission 2016-17

The students can apply for entrance test online by visiting the official website at http://www.cucet16.co.in/. All the detailed information about the Central Universities Common Entrance Test 2016 can checked at the official website. The candidates who are appearing in the final semester or year examination of the qualifying degree / certificate are also eligible to apply. Before applying for entrance test, the candidates must check the eligibility conditions for the programme for which they are going to appear in the examination.

Also, they should keep visiting the official website for latest admission notifications. The CUCET Admit Card 2016 can be downloaded from the university website from below mentioned date. Th candidates applying for entrance test will be fully responsible for downloading the admit card / hall ticket, checking result and other related information from the official website.

• Last date of Submitting online Application Form : 15^th April 2016
• Date of Issue of CUCET Admit Card: 06^th May 2016
• Dates of Entrance Examination: 21^st May, 2016,  22^nd May, 2016
• Date of publishing of Answer Key on official website: 23^rd May 2016
• Grievances, if any, upto : 05.00 pm on 26^th May 2016
• Date of Publishing of Corrected Answer Key: 03^rd June 2016
• Date of Declaration of CUCET Result: 17^th June 2016
