Validity of IGNOU OPENMAT XLII Score Card:
The candidates who qualifies the Ignou OPENMAT XLII test can submit the registration form (Form-2) available in the Student Handbook & Prospectus along with hall ticket of the Entrance test to their respective Regional Centres along with the prescribed fee on any day after the receipt of result card but not later than 30th November 2017 and 31st May 2017 for the admission in January 2018 and July 2018 session respectively. We can simply say that OPENMAT scorecard remains valid for admission to next two sessions.

IGNOU MBA Admission Eligibility:
The candidate should follow the below admission eligibility conditions to get admission in this programme. These are as follows :
- The candidate should be a graduate in any discipline. He must have attained minimum of 50 % marks for general category and 45 % for reserved category OR
- He/ She must have professional degree with 50% marks in: Engineering/ Medicine/ Chartered Accountancy (ICAI)/ Cost and Works Accountancy(ICWAI)/ Chartered Secretary-ship (ICSI), and Law.
- The candidate seeking admission in MBA programme should have cleared the OPENMAT entrance exam conducted by the university.
IGNOU Distance MBA Fee Structure:
IGNOU Master of Business Administration (MBA) consists of 21 courses in all. The students need to pay an amount of Rs. 1500/- for each course. So, the total programme fee is Rs. 31,500/-.
Duration and Age Requirement:
The minimum duration required to complete this programme is 2.5 years and the maximum duration for this course is 8 years. There is no minimum and maximum age required to take admission.

The university also provides the admission to other management disciplines along with the MBA on the basis of OPENMAT Entrance Examination. These include the following Diploma and Post Graduate Diploma programmes which are mentioned below:

How to apply for admission to Ignou MBA programme 2018?
We have explained the MBA admission process in very simple steps. These are mentioned below :
The students who want to take admission in this discipline need to visit the nearest Regional Centre to obtain the latest Ignou MBA prospectus by paying some amount of fee. The prospectus can also be downloaded the from the university official website.
It consists of complete detail about the MBA and also the forms required to fill out during the admission and course study. First of all, you have to cut out the Ignou OPENMAT XLII entrance exam form from the booklet Which is required to fill up and submit by the aspirant.
The form can also be obtained from IGNOU website. The candidates who will download the form from website need to pay a fee of Rs. 1,050/- (Rupees one thousand fifty only) in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi.
To get admission to this management programme, you have to qualify the OPEMAT exam which held twice in the year. i.e in the month for February for admission to July session and in the month of September for admission to session starting from January month.
The candidates who have successfully cleared the entrance test for admission into Management Programme conducted by institutions like CAT, MAT, and State level tests need not appear in the above said exam. The result for MBA entrance exam can be checked online on the university official website: www.ignou.ac.in.
The OPENMAT XLII result will be declared after 45 days as per the IGNOU result announcement rule. The university also sends the result status to students who have appeared in the exam at their address.
If you qualify in the entrance exam, you have to visit your nearest regional centre again with your entrance exam qualification proof to fill up admission form.The counselor in the regional centre will guide you through all the way.
But it is recommended that you read out your prospectus carefully as it contains each and everything. If you read it carefully and thoroughly, you do not need to take help from counselors again and again.
The university has followed the semester system approach for this programme. Semester system is followed from January to June and July to December.
After filling up the admission form, you also need to fill up Term End Exam Form (TEE) to appear in regular semester examinations Which will take place in every six months in June and December every year.
Admission to IGNOU MBA for Foreign students:
The students who are staying in India for studies and seeking admission to this open learning distance university should have a valid student visa for the minimum duration of the programme. The foreign students need to remit the fee at par with Indian students.
The students can obtain the fee structure from the International Division in the university as they are the only division responsible for processing admission of foreign students residing in India. They will process the admission after ensuring their antecedents from the Ministry of External Affairs/Ministry of Human Resource Development.
