The department of Computer Science & IT, University of Jammu has published the notification regarding the admission to its M.Tech (Computer Science) programme for session 2016-17. The candidates has to apply for admission through the prescribed application form which can be downloaded from the Jammu University official website at www.jammuuniversity.in or we have also provided the link on our website to download the M.Tech Admission application form.
The admission to the candidates will be provided on the basis of merit / score among the candidates obtained by them in the GATE entrance examination. The candidates who appear in this Entrance Test must obtain atleast 50% of marks for earning their eligibility for admission. In case, if the sufficient number of GATE qualified candidates are not available, the Jammu University department of Computer Science & IT will conduct its own entrance test. If required, such entrance examination shall be conducted on 17th June, 2016 (Friday) at 11:00 am. If the entrance exam is required, the university will publish the separate notification regarding this within few days after the last date of submission of application form. The candidates who will apply for admission are advised to remain in touch with the respective department for any latest information.

Important Dates:
- Starting date for purchase of Admission Brochure : 17th May 2016
- The last date of submission of filled in application form is 30th May, 2016 (without late fee).
- The candidates can apply for M.Tech Admission till 6th June, 2016 with late fee of Rs.300/-
Application Form:
The interested candidates can obtain the application form from the Department of Computer Science & IT, University of Jammu, Jammu. They have to pay the sum of Rs.1000/- through a Bank Draft drawn in favour of the Head, Department of Computer Science & IT, University of Jammu payable at Jammu to obtain the application form. The candidates can also obtain the application form from the university official website as well.
The duly filled-in application form and prescribed fee of Rs.1000/- in the form of bank draft has to be submitted to the office of the Head, Department of Computer Science & IT.
The candidates who lives at far away location from university can make a request for the application form by post to the Head, Department of Computer Science & IT, University of Jammu, Jammu-180006 along-with the bank draft for Rs.1000/- and self addressed envelope of the size 19×27 cms. duly stamped for Rs. 80.00.
Availability of Admit Card:
If Jammu University M.Tech(Computer Science) entrance examination will be conducted on the date mentioned above, then the candidates are required to collect their admit card from university campus for appearing in entrance test from 13th June, 2016 to 15th June, 2016 (10:00 am to 4:00 pm).
