After a long time, the renowned film director Ram Gopal Varma is back with his new movie “Veerappan'”. The trailer of the upcoming  film “Veerappan” has been released which can be seen on youtube.com. The story of the film is based on the life of a sandalwood smuggler “Koose Muniswamy Veerappan”. As per the information available in Wikipedia, he was a notorious Indian brigand who did smuggling in the forests lands in the states of Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Apart from release of movie in Hindi, the movie is all set to be released in various other languages such as Kannada, Telugu and Tamil. After watching the trailer of the movie, it can be depicted that the movie is about the the operation Cocoon launched to capture or kill Indian bandit Veerappan by special task force in the forest land. The movie is all set to be released on 27th May, 2016.

In 2004, the Veerappan was killed by Special Task Force (STF) in the adjoining forests of the states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Besides smuggling sandalwood, he also did the smuggling of ivory (Elephant Teeth), poaching of elephants, kidnapping and killing of police and wildlife officers.
