As of December 31, 2023, candidates must meet the following essential academic qualifications:

  • Graduation: You should have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. For SC/ST candidates, a caste certificate issued by the Competent Authority on the format prescribed by the Government of India will have to be submitted during document verification if called for an interview.

Candidates with disabilities seeking reservation benefits under section 34 of “The Right of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016” (Persons with Benchmark Disability – PwBD) must submit a latest disability certificate issued by a Competent Authority in accordance with Government of India guidelines. Such certificates will be subject to verification/re-verification as decided by the competent authority and should be dated on or before the last date of registration of the application.

CIBIL and Character Requirements

Candidates who have defaulted in repayment under any lending arrangement with Banks or NBFCs, including credit card dues, and have not regularized/repaid their outstanding until the date of the issuance of the letter of offer of appointment by the Bank, shall not be eligible for appointment to the post.

Furthermore, candidates against whom there are adverse reports regarding character and antecedents, or moral turpitude, are not eligible to apply for the post.

The hand-written declaration should say: “I _______(Name of the candidate), _______(Date of Birth) hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true, and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required. The signature, photograph, and left-hand thumb impression are mine.”

iii. If you don’t have a left-hand thumb impression, you can use your right-hand thumb impression.

iv. Visit the Bank’s website at https://bank.sbi/careers/current-openings and open the Online Application Form under ‘Current Openings.’

v. Carefully fill out the application. You can save it if you need to complete it later. After you save the application, the system will generate a provisional registration number and password, which you should note down. You can edit your saved application by using your registration number and password. Once you submit the application, you won’t be able to make changes.

vi. After verifying the information, make the payment through the payment gateway integrated into the application. Follow the on-screen instructions for this step.

vii. You can use a debit card, credit card, or Internet Banking for payment. Any transaction charges for online payment will be your responsibility.
