Ignou Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing – The Indira Gandhi National Open University has invited applications from all the eligible candidates to apply for admission to its Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing programme 2018. The candidates can download the IGNOU OPENNET-VII Form and BSCN(PB) prospectus from the university official website.
The interested candidates can also obtain the prospectus from their nearest Regional Centre by paying the fee of Rs.1000/-. The prospectus can also be ordered by Registered Post by sending fee of Rs.1050/- in the form of Demand Draft which has to be made in the favour of IGNOU, New Delhi / City of Regional Centre Concerned to Director (SSC), Indira Gandhi National Open University, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068 or Regional Centre Concerned.
Please do not forget to write your name and address at the back of DD.
The applicants need to fill the prescribed application form and send it to concerned Ignou Regional centre along with prescribed fee before the due date.For the Regional Centre and fee, please check the IGNOU official advertisement for admission to BSCN(PB).
The candidates need to make sure that no mandatory field in the application form should be left empty. Otherwise, the university has the full right to reject the form and no correspondence will be done in this regard.

About IGNOU Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme:
The Ignou Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing is a three-year degree programme for in-service diploma holder nurses. The programme has been approved by the Indian Nursing Council(INC). The learners can take admission to this discipline only on the basis of entrance test known as OPENNET.
After the declaration of result of entrance examination, the university will organize the counselling for the seat allotment. It may be allotted in one, two or three counselling sessions. The applicants will be called for counselling on the basis of rank they have obtained in the post basic B.Sc. nursing entrance examination.
The programme is offered by the School of Health Sciences(SOHS) in the university.The main objective behind the introduction of this discipline in the university is to meet the increasing demand for high qualified nurses.

Admission Eligibility: The In-service Nurses i.e registered nurses and registered midwives (RNRM) having 10+2 with three years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with minimum of two years experience in the profession. (For males nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM programme should have a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 month duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery).
In-service Nurses (RNRM) having a 10th class (Matriculation) or its equivalent with three years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with the minimum of five years experience in the profession.(For male nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM programme should have a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 month duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery).
Age Limit: There is no minimum or maximum age limit.
Course Fee: The total fee for the programme is Rs.45000/- which has to be paid @Rs.15,000/- per annum. The fees may change at any time, so it is always advised to confirm with the concerned regional centre.
